This is truly a magical place to visit with acres of old growth Cedar, Douglas Fir and the beautiful west coast Arbutus tree.
The quiet 300 acre lake is home to small mouth bass and trout, otters, beavers, and mink. A wide variety of ducks and geese are always stirring and your evening entertainment will be a chorus of frogs and owls.
The property is adjacent to the historic farm of Mirv Wilkonson’s known as Wildwood: http://blog.conservancy.bc.ca/properties/vancouver-island-region/wildwood
The original home was built in the early 1900’s and has received a beautiful renovation in 2013 that will make your stay as comfortable as you can imagine. The kitchen is appointed with the best appliances for any Gourmet. The home comfortably sleeps 16 in 5 bedrooms with comfortable bunk beds in two rooms. The master bath is equipped with a rain shower, steam room and old style soaker tub.
You might not want to leave this paradise on the lake, but if you do, you will find all sorts of fun in the surrounding community. There are numerous cottage boutiques in the area, which brings thousands from all over Vancouver Island at Christmas for the annual craft fair tour of each home.
This will truly be one of your most memorable holidays.
